Encourage. Equip. Empower.

"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession,
that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light."   -1 Peter 2:9

Kingdom Writers Association (KWA) exists to provide authors and "pre-authors" the opportunity to gather together, to be encouraged and equipped to produce high-quality literature that honors God and reaches the masses for generations to come.

Membership Benefits

Monthly Gatherings

Writers write in isolation but need community. KWA provides that community in our monthly gatherings where writers of all levels meet together, grow in their craft, and build relationships with fellow writers.

Conferences & Workshops

We have a passion to equip Kingdom scribes to achieve their calling and produce works that honor God and make an impact. To that end, we provide various workshops and creativity conferences to inspire, educate, and empower. Members can take advantage of discounted registration fees.

At KWA, we don't retreat, we advance! Each year we provide advances to local regions, such as Idyllwild and international locations, such as Oxford, England. These advances provide opportunity to delve deeper into our craft and explore the more that God has for us as creatives. Advances are first come, first serve and members get first notice and priority.

Online Access

Members have access to a "Members Only" Facebook page where they can communicate with one another, tune in to special video blogs by KWA Leaders, and attend/review monthly gatherings via Facebook Live.

Members-Only OnlineChapter

Our KWA Members-Only online chapter meets on the third Saturday of each month from 9:00a to 11:00p (pst) via Zoom and Facebook Live on the KWA Members-Only Facebook group page.

Members are encouraged to join via Zoom so they can be seen and heard.  This is a great opportunity to join in community with fellow writers from across the globe.

God is amassing an army of Kingdom-minded writers all over the world. KWA has members across the globe who have joined this army. To support this effort, KWA continues to build local Chapters (communities) throughout the U.S. and beyond. We also have online chapters to reach worldwide members who do not have local chapters. These chapters are building community and empowering Christian writers to respond to the scribal calling of God on their lives.

Currently, we have chapters in the following locations:

Accra, Ghana             Bakersfield, CA

Boise, ID                     Cali, Colombia

Oakland, CA.              Phoenix, AZ

Pulaski County, KY  San Diego, CA

After years of praying, we are excited to announce that we are launching a KWA chapter for kids 8-15! Our KWA NextGen Chapter launches via Zoom and Facebook Live in August (exact date TBA).

We believe that God is calling the next generation to be world changers. By lighting the spark and igniting the fire, we hope to inspire this generation to step boldly into their purpose as Kingdom writers.

Parents who would like their child to attend must complete an application (one per child). Click the button below for additional information and/or to request an application.

Hooray for Hollywood!

KWA Screenwriters Hollywood Sign.png

We’re Anthony and Kaylah Cantu affectionately called The Cantus by our friends. We’ve been living and working in Hollywood for the past 8 years. As screenwriters our hearts are to tell stories that are not only entertaining but also glorify our Creator. This is a tough and lonely industry and if there’s anything we’ve learned it’s the importance of community. We need it in life, in work, and in the Church.

It was clear from the first time we met Brae and Jill that we were united in both our passion and love for Jesus as well as storytelling. We’d all been seeking to build and cultivate community for writers in different ways. As we learned more about KWA and their mission, we knew it was something we wanted to be a part of. We realized that out of all the KWA chapters around the country there wasn’t yet one in Hollywood, the heart of the entertainment industry.

We’re so excited to kick off this newest chapter in the growing ministry of KWA. We love screenwriting and we love Hollywood, and we believe that God wants to use writers to tell stories that point the world to His truth and love. We hope we can support and encourage writers to strive for excellence in their calling.  We believe we’ve been called to Hollywood as a mission field and if you believe you’ve been called here as well, we’d love to pray for you and support you.

"Writing can be isolating. The investment of time without knowing the payoff can stop you in your tracts. At KWA, I've found writers of all genres offering encouragement, sharing skills, and reminding me that everything written for God's purpose already matters."
