Chapter Leader / Wyomissing, PA: The Ready Writers

Donna is a board-certified mental health coach and registered nurse. She has spoken in a variety of settings including women’s conferences and local community meetings where she shared how the transforming love of God took the broken pieces of her life and made a beautiful masterpiece. Donna focuses on helping women across their lifespan and has served in the following capacities:

Taught healthy sexuality courses for junior and senior high school girls.

Served at F.R.E.E.’s (Freedom & Restoration for Everyone Enslaved) inner city drop-in center for traumatized women and supports the ministry through the sale of her artwork.

Volunteered at crisis pregnancy centers offering hope & assistance with unplanned pregnancies.

Provided post-abortion counseling and education.

Worked as nursery and special care NICU nurse and lactation consultant for 21 years.

Authored first Christian fiction novel – in process of publication.

She was awarded Nurse of the Year by the Longview area Lion’s Club in 2014 & “Star Over Longview” in 2019 for her dedicated work and support for the women & families of the community. She has been personally mentored by Shannon Ethridge, a million-copy bestselling author & sex expert, through the BLAST program (Building Leaders, Authors, Speakers, & Teachers).

Donna’s passion as an artist and author is to minister the truth of God’s love so the trauma of one’s past does not rob their future.

As KWA’s Chapter Leader in her city, Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, Donna’s desire is to provide community and space for authors to gather and support one another in their calling as scribes for Him.

Donna and her husband Mark enjoy exploring the great outdoors with their grown children and grandchildren. She loves going to the beach, watching fireworks, bike riding, and eating key lime pie!
