Rhonda Barber

Rhonda is a mom, dream influencer, writer, director and producer. She tells stories that are close to home because home is where the heart is. Her passion is to ignite dreams and provoke purpose through storytelling via screenplay, short film and spoken word. She believes if you can meet people where they are, you can help them get to where they need to go. Rhonda enjoys helping others realize their original design and empowering them to live the intensely rich life God intended for them. She believes that when it comes to dreaming with God, the possibilities are endless.

Shelley Hickox

Shelley Hickox first discovered her passion to write when her 2nd-grade teacher assigned the class to write short stories and share on the “magic carpet.” This became her first captive audience and she hit the ground running, entertaining friends and family with stories ever since. This passion led her to obtain her B.A. in journalism and creative writing from Point Loma Nazarene University, graduating in 2009.

Since then, Shelley shifted from editorial and has found a niche for her copywriting skills in marketing; crafting engaging copy as a brand storyteller for many organizations. She is currently working on a YA urban fantasy novel and has been inspired by the likes of C.S. Lewis, J.K. Rowling, Veronica Roth, and Suzanne Collins. Shelley also enjoys writing songs, poetry and flash fiction. She discovered KWA at the inaugural Festival of Books at Liberty Station in 2017. It was a match made in heaven!

Jan Marovic

I love to pray and enjoy leading the Prayer ministry at Awakening International as well as being on several PIT crews for other ministries/ministers.

I also love to travel and meet God’s people all over the world.  I’ve been blessed to visit and minister in China, Hong Kong, Micronesia, Guam, Israel, Australia, Argentina, Canada, Mexico, and have visited most of the states in the U.S.  I’ve also taken several trips through various countries in Europe.

Rikah Thomas

Rikah Thomas, an award-winning artist, is a mentor, teacher, and author. She enjoys inspiring hearts and minds through words and art as she shares her life’s journey from emotional chaos and brokenness to one of wellness and joy.

Rikah’s love for words started when she was very young, inspiring her to write her first poem at age six. Always a contemplative person, her deep and thoughtful nature, big heart, inquisitive mind, and abiding love for God and others continues to inspire her poetry, devotions, short stories, and prose. She has also written and taught spiritual growth classes, curriculum, and children’s stories to encourage others in their relationship with self and God. These have been birthed from her struggles, victories, and authentic experiences with change, trauma, family, workplace, church, and the mission field where she lived for ten years.

Rikah continues to enjoy life with her husband, children, friends, three dogs, and four parakeets. Her passion is to love well, have fun, and help others see what a treasure they are. She enjoys all things thought-provoking or simply entertaining – books, movies, songs, plays, and good T.V. shows. She is currently working on her second book and new art pieces.

Rikah is an active member of Kingdom Writers Association and has been a member of the Christian Writers Guild for several years. She is a pastor’s wife of 29 years and continues to serve alongside her husband at the church they planted in Chula Vista, California. She received her Biblical Studies training and certification from Liberty University.
