Oxford, UK, "The City of Dreaming Spires”

For Lewis, “Oxford was five parts intellect and rationality, and five parts mystery and imagination.”

Join us for this life-changing journey to the City of Dreaming Spires, Oxford, UK. For one week, you will be immersed in the magical land that birthed such giants as C.S. Lewis, and J.R.R. Tolkien, among many others. We will walk the same cobblestone streets they did, visit the same local spots they frequented, and walk the famous ‘Addison’s Walk’ where CS Lewis encountered the Holy Spirit. We will visit the homes and graves of each literary hero. There will be customized tours for our group, which include The Kilns (C.S. Lewis home), The Holy Trinity Church (C.S. Lewis church), Oxford University (Magdalen College), Blackwell Bookshop, and much more. Mark Stibbe, an award-winning author and dear friend of KWA whose father was mentored directly by CS Lewis, will be joining us. We will have some teaching and training, but the deepest impact will come from experiencing all that Oxford has to offer. This thin place for creativity will inspire you to your next level. FLIGHTS: 
Fly into London Heathrow (LHR) to arrive on August 3rd. Note, if you are flying from the USA most flights arrive the next day, so you will be leaving on the 2nd to arrive on the 3rd. Please plan accordingly wherever you are flying from, please make sure you arrive on the 3rd and check into the hotel with us on the 3rd.

Once in London, you will need to take the bus or get an Uber/Taxi to Oxford/our hotel (we will give you the hotel address once you register so you can plan accordingly).

We will be checking out of the hotel on August 10th and heading home. Some people have extended their stay to travel in Europe, so plan out your trip, but the 10th ends our KWA/KCI time together.

We strongly encourage everyone to get flight insurance. 

And please check your passports to make sure they're up to date.
 

REGISTRATION FEE:
Cost per person: $2950 (double occupancy) / $3650 (single occupancy).

Registration includes hotel, breakfast, tours, and training sessions. Registration does not include airfare, transportation to and from the hotel and airport, lunch and dinner, a weekly bus pass, from the hotel into Oxford City Center, and any personal purchases or tours.

Downpayment:  Non-refundable/non-transferrable downpayment: $350 (remaining balance due by July 1st, 2024).​

LIMITED SPACE AVAILABLE. Registrants will share a room with one other person of the same sex. If you prefer a private room, then please email braewyckoff@gmail.com to secure your room. The cost for a private room is $700 above the $2950.
